Igor Seriba (Iggy) was born in the Ivory Coast (now Côte d'Ivoire), which is located in west Africa. After finding success in multiple sports in his adolescent years, Igor chose UC Davis' Division 1 Track and Field team to continue his athletic achievements. While at UC Davis, he earned BA degrees in both Communication and French and competed as a long and triple jumper on the Track & Field team.
As an ACE certified trainer, Igor's background is filled with Olympic coaches and athletes, including three Olympic coaches and two Olympic strength and conditioning coaches. With nine years of training experience under his belt, Iggy has accumulated an impressive knowledge and understanding of many aspects of fitness.
Over the years, he has been able to teach and show the necessary steps to becoming a phenomenal athlete, as well as a well rounded fit individual. Being able to understand how the body functions, whether at rest or during exercise, has allowed him to create unique and specific training programs that effectively improve any individual's emotional and physical well-being. He strives to empower those who want to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
IGOR, THE ATHLETE
Igor was born playing soccer in the Ivory Coast, until he moved to the United States. He was a point guard on his basketball team, a conerback and reciever on his football team, and an all-state field athlete in track. He represented UC Davis in the NCAA Division I Regional Track meet in 2010 and 2012 where he finished in the top 25 in the triple jump. Igor placed in the Big West Conference, and finished in the top 10 in the triple jump on the indoor and outdoor list in UC Davis history. In San Diego while at La Jolla High School, he was a two-year CIF state meet qualifier, won San Diego Section meet as a senior, was CIF-SDS runner-up in both long jump and triple jump as a junior, and finished top 2 in the school's triple jump history. He earned All-Western League honorable mention as a senior receiver, while receiving several scholarships from coveted universities in the country. In addition, Igor was named to San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic squad which exemplifies the true meaning of student athlete.
IGOR, THE TRAINER
"My goal is to implement workouts that will challenge the body and mind, using creative and various methods to get the results you desire." This is done through fun and challenging exercises that will ultimately prevent injuries and improve overall health. Apart from many other trainers, Igor focuses on core, balance, and body awareness. Understanding how your body works in motion and at rest is crucial to improving performance. Igor, who has 10 years of training experience, teaches youth classes, adult classes and does personal training. He specializes in sports-specific strength and conditioning, speed, running technique, preventitive injury training, plyometrics, agility, senior fitness, adult fitness, youth fitness and core strengthening.
